The conference will be held at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, India. This institution is known as the cradle of the Space Science and Application Programmes in India. PRL is a premier research institution of India with programmes in Theoretical Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Space and Atmospheric Sciences, Planetary and Geo Sciences and Planetary Explorations. Details
This workshop will address the latest results obtained from Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Odyssey, Mars Express, Mars Reconnaissance orbiter, Venus Express, Messenger and Cassini. It will cover all fields of atmospheric, ionospheric and magnetospheric research of planets.. The second objective of this workshop is to discuss science of future planetary exploration as well as new results of planetary atmospheres obtained from ground based experiments. The workshop will include solicited talks and contributed presentations covering the following broad topics: 1. Atmospheres and Ionospheres of Planets 2. Magnetic Fields and Magnetospheres of Planets 3. Future Exploration of Planets


Instruction to Authors
The abstract are to be submitted online only. The manuscript should be within one A4 page in MS word format, Arial , font 10, line spacing 1.5. The title of the paper should be in Arial, font 14, bold, centered followed by authors  name, affiliation, email of corresponding author. Figures if necessary, should be accommodated in the same page.

Applications are invited for a Project Assistant Position in Plant Cell and Molecular Biology, Indian Institute of Advanced Research, Koba Institutional area, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants should have Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology/Botany/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equivalent with minimum 55% marks. Candidates should have good knowledge of Plant Molecular Biology and Plant Developmental Biology. Previous experience in basic techniques in Molecular Biology and Microscopy is an advantage.

Age Limits: Age should be not more than 28 years.

Emoluments: 6000/-consolidated per month plus 15 % HRA.

STUDENT PROGRAM (SP2010)
NCRA runs both short and long term student technical training program. The short term programs are mainly during the summer and are meant for students in their pre-final year. The long term program runs during the academic year and are meant for final year students. Generally students from Pune are considered for the long term program.

The space programme has made a multi-quantum forward leap, making India a major self-reliant space power. The future ISRO programme envisages development of cutting edge technologies for reusable launch vehicle, development of advanced technologies for Human Spaceflight Programme, advanced high efficiency semi-cryogenic propulsion system, advanced communication satellite, air breathing propulsion, satellite based navigation system, hyper spectral imaging sensors, and inter planetary missions.

Who Can Apply?
BE/B.Tech or equivalent in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters for which results are available). Candidates who are slated to complete the BE/B.Tech course in the academic year 2009-10 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree is available by 31.8.2010

Pay and Allowances
Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/ Engineer 'SC' in the pay band of Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400 (Grade Pay). The gross emoluments in the minimum of scale will at present be approximately Rs.26,670/- p.m. In addition, HRA and Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid for those who are not availing Departmental Housing and Transport facility. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. Selection Process
The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for written test. The candidate should have First Class with minimum 65% marks in the Qualifying Degree ie, BE/B.Tech or equivalent. Based on the academic performance and bio-data, initial screening will be conducted to short-list candidates for taking-up written test. The written test will be conducted on 17th April 2010, Saturday at thirteen venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates short-listed based on the performance in the written test will be called for interview, the schedule and venue of which will be intimated. Candidates attending the interview will be reimbursed to and fro second-class train fare by the shortest route from the address given in the application to the place of interview.
