The main objective of conference on ‘Remote Sensing and GIS for Environmental Management (RSGIS-EM2010)’ is to bring together scholars and professionals to share latest achievements and experiences in RS & GIS research and application.
The conference will be covering the new horizons in the area of spatial technology for hydrology, water & air pollution, land degradation, land use planning, natural hazards, etc. The conference shall be useful
for the field engineers, planners, architects, scientists, decision makers, academicians and researchers
working in this field. A similar conference was organized by the department in 1996 which was found to be very useful as per the feed back given by the participants.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by leading RS & GIS experts and papers will be presented in technical sessions of the conference. Commercial exhibitions showing the latest development of RS & GIS technology shall also be a feature of this conference.The themes for the submission of conference papers
are listed below. Full papers will be peer-reviewed and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
