• Applications are invited for Assistant Professor position from outstanding scientists, preferably below the age of 35, with a keen interest in teaching.
• The broad area of Research (http://mcbl.iisc.ernet.in/faculty.html ) interest includes, but is not limited to, “Infectious diseases, genetics, development biology, cell biology and emerging inter-disciplinary areas”. In addition to the Central facility (FACS, imaging, spectroscopy ect ) the Department has state-of-the-art facilities to conduct cutting-edge research in biology.
• Applicants with a PhD in biological science or in a related discipline, and post-doctoral research experience (3-5 yrs) are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will build their own research groups, participate in the graduate teaching program and supervise PhD students. Selections are on equal opportunity basis.
