DBT Sponsored Junior Research Fellow In the area of Anti – inflammatory research

Applications are invited for the following posts of Junior Research Fellowship (temporary position till the project is supported) under DBT funded research project on “Design, synthesis and identification of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitors possessing improved safety profile”

In the following week, selected candidates will be called for a personal interview to Institute of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad Campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The qualifying candidates are expected to start working within 1-2 weeks from the selecting date.
1. Junior Research Fellowship (Chemistry)
Pay: Rs. 15600/- (Fixed) per month inclusive of all.
Duration: One year or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
Responsibilities:
1) Synthesize NCEs and provide them for Biology for screening
2) Provide scientific support to scientists and students in their research activities.
3) Book keeping and maintenance of stocks and consumables.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from a recognized university / institute with a consistent first class academic record above 60%. Should be willing to learn, able to multi-task and must possess skills in MS-Office.
Preferable: Relevant research experience as evident from thesis / dissertation/project work/ relevant practical exposure.
Experience: 0-1 years in Organic synthesis

2. Junior Research Fellowship (Biology)
Pay: Rs. 15600/- (Fixed) per month inclusive of all.
Duration: One year or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
Responsibilities:
1)Screen NCEs against various sub-types of PDE4 using biochemical and cell based assays.
2)Provide scientific support to scientists and students in their research activities.
3)Book keeping and maintenance of stocks and consumables.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Biotechnology or any other branch of Life Sciences / M. tech in Biotechnology from a recognized university / institute with a consistent first class academic record above 60%. Should be willing to learn, able to multi-task and must possess skills in MS-Office.
Preferable: Relevant research experience as evident from thesis / dissertation/project work/ relevant practical exposure.
Experience: 0-1 years
