Applications are invited for filling up following temporary project positions purely in project mode in the ICMAM Project Directorate, Chennai, an attached office of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) initially for a period of one year from the date of joining and extendable further based on performance as per details given below:
Coastal Ocean Monitoring and Prediction System (COMAPS)
1. Project Scientist -I: 2 Nos.

Place of posting: Chennai or at any other location in India
Emoluments: Rs.36,000/-p.m plus an annual performance incentive @3% of the consolidated salary will be provided subject to completion of one year and satisfactory performance of the scientist.
Essential Qualification: First Class Master’s degree in Chemical Oceanography/Marine Biology/ Marine Sciences/ Environmental Science with 3 years experience research relating to coastal water quality (chemical, biological, microbiological) analysis, assessment, statistical analysis.
Desirable: Knowledge in Oracle.
Nature of Work: Assisting the Senior Scientists in database organization using Oracle, Data quality assessment, statistical analysis and report preparation.
