Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, under the aegis of National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Department of Space, Government of India is a premier Institute in the country with a mandate of imparting training and education in the field of remote sensing and geoinformatics for natural resources management. The Institute has highly qualified and experienced faculty, and state-of-art infrastructure and working environment to carry out advanced research in all fields of geospatial technologies.


Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) for a period of two years (extendable for another one year as per rules applicable at that time).
Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/- per month + HRA @20% + Medical as per rule.
Project : ISRO–GBP Sponsored Project on “Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) Dynamics and impact of Human Dimension in Indian River Basins.”

Essential Qualification :M.Tech. / M.Sc. in Geoinformatics (minimum 65% marks) with Bachelor Degree in Science.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Geospatial information processing and knowledge of programming language C++ & Java script.
Duration : Two years (extendable for another one year as per rules applicable at that time).
