NEERI Nagpur Nano biotechnology/Environmental Biotechnology Project Assistant Vacancy

Applications are invited on plain paper in the prescribed format for engagement as Project Assistant Level-II on behalf of the sponsor as per the following details:
Project: Development of biochemical process for production of metal-based nanoparticles from wastewaters containing high concentration of sulphate.
Prescribed educational qualification: First class M. Sc. in Bio-Chemistry/Chemistry (Physical/Analytical preferred) / Microbiology / Biotechnology

Job requirement • Development of physiochemical and biological processes for synthesis of metal nanoparticles
• Characterization of nanoparticles/nano-bio-particles using modern tools
• Assessment of toxicity of synthesized nanoparticles
Desirable: Work experience in molecular biology and analytical techniques for monitoring of nanoparticles
Consolidated fixed remuneration (p.m.): Rs.10,000/-

Duration of the project 1 year six months
Age limit 28 years (relaxation admissible as per rules of Govt. of India)

The engagement is purely on a temporary basis which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance / conduct of the appointee. The engagement will be co-terminus with the project duration. The engagement shall not be an appointment CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right / claim, implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization/ absorption. Applicants are to appear for a personal interview (with original documents and work reports) before the selection committee  in Room No. 108 of the Environmental Biotechnology Division.

TA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. No separate interview call letter will be issued. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed educational qualification will not be interviewed. No interim inquires will be entertained in this regard.
