Applications are invited for the positions of one JRF and one Research Associate to work in a project entitled "Understanding the molecular basis of cellular differentiation during regeneration of zebrafish spinal cord : insight from microarray analysis" funded by the Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India

Junior Research FellowEssential Qualification : M.Sc. First Class with NET/GATE in Life Sciences viz. Zoology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology or any other relevant discipline. The candidate is expected to develop and implement methods like injury model (dissection skill), histological and immunihostochemical analysis, microinjection and general molecular biology techniques with emphasis to RNA work.
Salary : as per sanction of the funding agency and also as per norms of C.U.

Research Associate
Candidate should have a doctoral degree in any relevant discipline of Life Science and should have demonstrated extensive experience in either molecular biology or confocal imaging. Salary : as per sanction of the funding agency and also as per norms of C.U. Both candidates should be capable of maintenance of zebrafish and axolotl colonies. The analysis of the ongoing genome‐wide array analysis. The successful candidate should be highly self motivated, energetic, work efficiently, and have a keen interest in interest in Developmental biology / Neurobiology.
