Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubneswar, an autonomous Institute
of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology,
Government of
India invites applications from Indian citizens for the following
position:

1. Junior Research Fellow : 01 No. (Project)
Project title: To study the biodiversity of microbes in the deep water
corals of Andaman & Nicobar island (Funded by Ministry of Earth
Sciences, Govt. of
India). Fellowship: Rs.12,000/- per month plus HRA@ 20%.

2. Senior Research Fellow : 01 No. (Project)
Project title: An epigenetic study on the role of parasite Wolbachia
and human TLR polymorphism in human fiariasis (Funded by Department of
Biotechnology,
Govt. of India).
Fellowship: Rs.18,000/- per month plus HRA@ 20%

Eligibility and Selection : Candidates with Master's degree or
equivalent with 60% aggregate marks (50% marks for SC/ST candidates) in
any branch of Life
Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and
Biochemistry with UGC/CSIR/ICMR-NET/DBT with fellowship or (NET-LS)
without fellowship
are eligible to apply. Upper age limit (as on 01.12.2010): 28 years.

The interested/ eligible candidates may appeared before the selection
committee at Institute of Life Sciences, Nalco square, Bhubaneswar –
751 023 with
detailed bio-data along with one set of attested xerox copy of
certificates, marksheets, experience certificates etc at 9.00 AM on 6th
December, 2010. The
positions are purely temporary and the candidates will not have any
right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any post in the Institute. No
interview letter will be sent separately. No TA & DA will be paid for
attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding
selection of the candidates will be final and no correspondence will be
