Research Associate in the DST funded Indo-EU Project entitled “Moldeling of Nano-Scaled Advanced Materials Intelligently” (MONAMI)
Applications are invited for Research Associate in the DST funded Indo-EU Project entitled “Moldeling of Nano-Scaled Advanced Materials Intelligently” (MONAMI) tenable at the Department of Solid State Physics, Raman Center for Atomic, Molecular & Optical Sciences and Center for Advanced Materials in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700032. This is a collaborative research project among six institutes from India and six institutes from Europe requiring state-of-the-art multi scale simulations of nano systems. The present project will employ both quantum as well as classical simulation tools to understand the physics of nanomaterials at varying length scales. The project will involve improving and augmenting the existing methods as well as design new techniques which aim to bridge length scales. More more details see http://www.iacs.res.in/monami

Essential Qualifications: (a) Candidates should have Ph.D. in Physics/Chemistry with minimum of 55% marks in B. Sc. (Hons. in Physics/Chemistry) and M. Sc. (Physics/Chemistry) examinations. (b) Theoretical and Computational expertise in Electronic Structure/many-body formalisms of electron correlation methods in molecules or extended systems,
Desirable expertise: (a) Knowledge of symbolic algebra and related techniques,
(b) Writing/interfacing/modifying elaborate electronic structure softwares.
Fellowship : Rs. 18,000 p.m. plus HRA, as per the rule.
Duration 1 Year
