Details
Outstanding students in post-graduate programme of other Institutions can carry out project work under the supervision of the Institute's scientists towards partial fulfillment of the post-graduate degree.


The training can be carried out for a minimum period of 3 to 6 months. Opportunities are also available for short-term/summer trainees in the Institute through sponsored programmes from government agencies such as the KVPY, JNCASR, INSA/IAS/NASI. The Institute is unable to entertain direct applications form candidates seeking such placements.

The requests must come from the Heads of Departments, and must provide the academic resumes of the recommended student(s) as well as the period of proposed project work. These should be sent to the concerned scientist directly.

Request will be considered on the basis of available vacancies. Each scientist can accommodate maximum of two trainees at a given time.

The minimal eligibility criterion for consideration of the requests is first division or an equivalent grade (or at least 60% of aggregate scores) in graduation or equivalent exam.
