Applications are invited for the positions of One Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and One Technical Assistant to work under the Department of' Science and Technology (DST),New Delhi funded Project: 'Sediment Source to Sink relations through Continental to Marine tracts of Godavari-Bengal fan system: A Mineral magnetic, Geochemical, Sedimentologic and Morphometric approach of Sediment Source Mixing' to
be run at the Department of Geology, University of Pune. The project involves intensive fieldwork, sample collection and analysis pertaining to the stated objectives.
Essential Qualification for JRF: First Class M.Sc/~.Sc.(Tech)/M.Tech In Geology/ Applied Geology.
Desirable:- Candidates with good NET/GATE/SET scour, working/research experience and Physics as one of the major subjects at B. Sc. may be given preference.
Age limit: 28 years.
Fellowship: Rs. 12,000/- p.m.(+ HRA15%)or any revision as per DST norms.
Duration: 3 years or eo-terminus with the project/based on six monthly internal assessments.
Essential Qualification for Technical Assistant: Minimum first Class in B.Sc. Geology with Physics as one of the subjects. Nature of job: To assist the project staff in field over sample collection and lab for analysis. Preference may be given to candidates with some related experience. Salary: Rs. 8000/- (consolidated).
