UGC-NRCBS Summer School on Bioacoustics 14–26 March 2011
UGC-Networking Resource Centre in Biological Sciences School of Biological Sciences UGC-NRCBS, Madurai Kamaraj University invites applications from research scholars, post-docs,young faculty members and scientists of Indian universities/research institutions for the Summer School on ‘Bioacoustics’ to be held from 14 to 26 March 2011. The summer school will provide hands-on training on various methods of audio and video recording and analysis in bats and insects with reference to ecology and behaviour. Vocalizations by animals are used for species identification and phylogeny. The detailed instruction and application form can be downloaded from the UGCNRCBS.
Candidates should submit the filled in application form to Dr Sripathi Kandula, Convener, UGC-NRCBS Summer School on Bioacoustics, School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai 625021 . Applications should be forwarded by their research supervisor/Head of the department or Head of the institution. Applications sent via e-mail will be considered. The duly forwarded hard copy should reach within a week. The candidates will be selected based on the qualification and research interests.
TA/DA will be provided to the selected participants as per the MK University regulations.
