Project title :
(1)ARI Project "Role of maternal dietary calcium in relation to non-communicable disease (ICDs) risks in adult offspring" New-BIO-01, (Project upto 31.03.2013)
(2) DST Project `Role of Copper in Alzheimer's disease: An interaction of copper with AB peptide' (SP-191 Period up to 01.08.2013)
Group/ Division : Biometry Group of Animal Sciences Division
Qualification :
For Project BIO-01: Essential:(i)1st class M.Sc. in Biometry and Nutrition / Health Sciences / Biochemistry, (ii) Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET. Desirable: Work experience in research project related to experimental nutrition. Work involves handling of experimental animals and laboratory experience.
For Project SP-191: Essential:
(i) 1st class M.Sc. with Analytical/Inorganic Chemistry/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology and
(ii) Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET.
Monthly stipend : JRF-Rs.12000/- (fixed) + HRA, RS-Rs.11000/- (fixed)
Age limit : 28 years (5/3 yrs. relaxation for SC&ST/OBC candidates).
Candidates fulfilling above conditions may apply in the prescribed format available on the Institute's website http://www.aripune.org., along with attested copies of qualifications, certificates, Passport size photograph, caste certificate issued by competent authority (for reserved category) and application fee of Rs.50/-, payable by Demand Draft only in favor of Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, up to 16.07.2012. The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview. In case number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates.
The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
