Senior Research Fellow (One)
Project: "Lipidomics of human pathogenic multidrug resistant Candida: identification of lipids as antifungal targets". Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT)


Essential Qualifications
M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry with at least two years experience in Membrane Biology. Because of the limited duration of project, the preference will only be given to applicants who are well versed in handling yeast cells and acquainted with lipid  extraction, lipid analysis and techniques such as TLC, GC, GCMS and ESI-MS/MS for lipidomics. Knowledge of statistical programs required to analyze large lipidomic datasets is an additional plus. Additionally experience in lipidomics as evident from publication (s)
in peer reviewed journal is necessary.

Senior Research Fellow (One)
Project: Combating MDR in pathogenic yeast Candida albicans". Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT)

Essential Qualifications
M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry with at least two years experience in Membrane Biology. Preference will be given to applicants who are well versed in handling yeast cells and acquainted with lipid extraction, yeast lipid analysis using TLC and GCMS approaches. Previous knowledge of handling yeast mutant collections is desirable. Additionally experience in lipidomics and other related areas as evident from publication (s) in peer reviewed journal is necessary.

Senior Research Fellow (One)
Project: "Mutational Analysis of a Multidrug ABC Transporter to Dissect Mechanism of Drug Efflux". Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT)

Essential Qualifications
M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry with at least three years experience in Membrane Biology. Preference will be given to applicants who are well versed in handling yeast cells and acquainted
with strategies of mutational analysis, cell membrane preparation, FACS, confocal microscopy and Western analysis. Knowledge of mutational analysis of yeast cells as evident from publication in peer
reviewed journal.
Salary: Rs. 14,000/- + HRA
