Applications are invited for the following posts in a DST funded project titled, ‘Computation in the
brain: neuron, synapse and astrocyte interactions in small networks’. Duration of the project is
three years.


Senior Research Fellow (interdisciplinary with background in quantitative sciences). One vacancy
Qualification : M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related areas or, M.Sc. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electronics, Computer Science or related areas with two years research experience as a Junior Research Fellow. Fresh M.Sc. in the areas mentioned can
be considered as JRF if a suitable SRF cannot be found.
Programming skills in MATLAB and in any of C, C++, Python, JAVA are required.
Salary : Rs 18,000 p.m. + 30% HRA.
Duration : Initially for 1 year, renewable up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance.The candidate is expected to pursue Ph.D.

Research Associate (interdisciplinary with background in quantitative sciences).One vacancy.
Qualification : Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering,
Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electronics, Psychology, Neurobiology or related
areas with programming skills in MATLAB and in any of C, C++, Python, JAVA
are required.
Salary : Rs 22,000 p.m. + 30% HRA.
Duration : Initially for 1 year, renewable up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance.
