Research Associate
Title of the Project : "Genetic control of cell proliferation, cell size and cell affinities" funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Indo-Spanish Joint Research Project.
Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications/experience: Ph.D. (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or allied Sciences). Minimum 60% marks/equivalent grade at Masters Level.
Preference: Preference will be given to candidates with good academic / industry records and capable of managing a project independently.
Job requirement: Work with a team of graduate students and project assistants to study genetic control of cellular proliferation in Drosophila.
Tenure of the project Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further period of two years subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the study project.
Consolidated fixed emoluments per month Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 24,000/- per month based on academic record and work experience of the candidate + HRA as admissible

The appointment will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be IISER-Pune appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any IISER-Pune post/fellowship.The interviews will be conducted in the 2nd or 3rd Week of May 2011, at IISER, Sai Trinity Building Pashan, Pune-411021.
