WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
The National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR), an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the following positions under the project “Swath bathymetric Surveys of EEZ”. The positions are purely temporary on contract basis under the project mode, initially for a period of one year. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend the walk-in-interview at NCAOR
Research Scientist ‘B’

Essential:
(i)Master’s degree in Geophysics / Geology / Chemistry / Physics / Marine Sciences / Physical Sciences etc.
(ii)2 years research experience preferably in Geophysical / Geological / Marine Science related field.

The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, New Delhi is looking for the prospective candidates for filling up the post of Research Scientist ‘B’ under the project “Glacio-chemical studies on surface snow and shallow ice cores from the coastal and inland region of East Antarctica”. The post is temporary and on a contract/ project mode basis initially for a period of one year, but likely to continue for project period. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend the Walk-in-interview at NCAOR on 21.06.2010 (Monday)

NCAOR Goa Call for Fifth Expedition in Ice Free Areas of the Antarctic Ocean (Indian Sector)

What is this all about?

National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Goa an autonomous research organization of
Ministry of Earth Sciences proposes to launch the fifth expedition in the ice free areas of the Indian sector of Southern Ocean. Duration of the expedition will be ~80 days. Launching of the expedition shall be in January 2011.

NCAOR CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS TO 30TH INDIAN SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION TO ANTARCTICA

What is this all about?
RESEARCH PROPOSALS CALL FOR 30TH INDIAN SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION TO ANTARCTICA (InSEA)
The National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, an autonomous R&D institution under the
Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India is the nodal agency responsible for the
planning, co-ordination and implementation of Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica. The Thirtieth
(30th) Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica (InSEA) will be launched in October/November 2010.
The summer team component of 30th InSEA shall return to India in March 2011 whereas the winter
team of 30th InSEA would return to India in March 2012.

The thrust area of the 30th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica shall be related to ‘Climate
Change’. Apart from the proposals for continuing the ongoing projects, NCAOR welcomes scientific
proposals which have linkages to climate change. NCAOR also welcomes other scientific projects in
different areas of science (please refer website).

Proposal/s along with all essential endorsement and certificates in the prescribed formats (available
on our website) should be forwarded through proper channel and must reach the Director, National
Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Headland Sada, Vasco-da-Gama, Goa 403 804 by
15 April 2010. The envelope should be clearly superscribed ‘InSEA PROPOSAL’. Soft copy version
of the same to be forwarded at insea@ncaor.org
