Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata has been established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Institute is looking for dedicated and committed candidates to fill up the following vacancies.
Technical Officer – 1 PostScale of pay: PB-3, Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP Rs. 5,400/-
Qualification and experience: BE/B Tech or Graduate with MCA/DOEACC B' Level with first class in the area of Computer Sciences. Minimum 5 years of experience in Scientific organisations/ Universities/Institutes in Central/State/PSUs in the areas of computer applications.
General Information / details about posts advertised:
1. All the above posts are as per the Central Government pay scales and carry other allowances as admissible to Central Government employees of the respective scale posted in Kolkata.
2. These posts will be covered by New Pension Scheme of Govt. of India and will be eligible for other benefits like Medical, LTC, etc. as per the Institute norms.
3. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institution.
4. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen, etc. will be as per Govt. of India norms.
5. Application from the candidates working in Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Agencies must be sent through proper channel.
6. Candidates applying for more than one post may apply separately for each post indicating the name and Code Number of the post. 7. The Institute reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications/ experience in exceptional cases, or in the case of persons already holding analogous positions in a University/research institution; and to consider the names of suitable candidates who may not have applied for the post.
8. The Institute reserves its right to place a reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for interview/selection test.
Fulfillment of essential qualifications merely does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be
called for written exam / skill test / interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum
qualifications prescribed along with documentary evidences
9. Age limit: preferably up to 55 years for Code. No.1 & up to 40 years for Code No.2 (as on the date of publication of this advertisement).
10. Relaxation in age, educational qualification and / or experience may be considered in case of otherwise exceptionally suitable candidates, with prior approval of the Competent Authority.
11. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro AC II fare for from the place of their residence or that declared in the application or from the actual place of undertaking the journey,
whichever is nearer to the place of the interview, as per rules on production of documentary evidence.
12. No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
13. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
14. Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificate / documents/ photograph/ Demand Draft will be summarily rejected.
