The following temporary positions are available in a DST funded project entitled “Geochemistry and Genesis of Iron nodule in the Ganga plains and the implications to the elemental dynamics” till March 2013, and possibly beyond.
Research Associate – 01 position
Rs 18000/- p.m. + H.R.A.
A Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences with specialization in the Geochemistry of sediments/soils and experience in handling analytical instruments such as AAS, ICP-AES and XRF.

Applications are invited for the following purely temporary position in a DST project -Monitoring Studies on Chhota Shigri Glacier, Himachal Pradesh, at the School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi -110067
Technical Assistant 1 (one)
Qualifications: M. Sc (or) B.Sc. with 10 years experience in Geochemistry lab, High altitude Glacier experience and sample processing and data analysis.
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the DST-Monitoring Studies on Chhota Shigri Glacier, Himachal Pradesh project. The initial appointment will be for one year which can be extended on the basis of the performance of the candidate.
Emoluments: Fixed at Rs 20,000/- per month and every effort will be made for scale pay emoluments after DST approval. It will be modified time to time as per DST-project guidelines & JNU rules.
