Engineer for IWMI-Tata Project
ICRISAT seeks applications for the position of Engineer for IWMI-Tata Project (ITP). The position will be and based at ICRISAT Headquarters, Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India.

About IWMI: International Water Management Institute (IWMI), is a nonprofit scientific research organization, one of the 15 International Institutes under the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), with its world headquarter at Colombo, Sri Lanka. IWMI is engaged in various aspects of water and land management and has its Offices located in New Delhi and Hyderabad.
Responsibilities:
-Undertake studies relating to micro irrigation and water harvesting in the hill regions of India where ITP will be working with SRTT partners
-Assist in the project appraisal and preparing feasibility studies in association with partners
-Collect base level data for the implemented projects/studies and conduct post project evaluation of the interventions
-Conduct capacity building exercises to the partners and other stakeholders
-Follow up with the ongoing works in the region covering the ITP mandate with the partners.
-Assist the Director, ITP in the conduct of similar ITP related studies in other regions and prepare technical papers for publication.

Requirements:
-B.E or M.E. or BE Tech or M.Tech with major in Soil and Water Engineering or Water resources/ irrigation engineering/management.
-Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience in the same field.
-Good command of written and spoken English.

General: The position is initially for one year and can be renewed further based on the performance of the candidate and funding availability. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
